This high level seminar will ensure that LGBT VCOs, an important group of stakeholders in this project, have had the opportunity to inform the design of the feasibility study for London's LGBT Social Action and Community Centre.
In 2007, after a sustained period of consultation by Kairos in Soho, Westminster City Council approved the inclusion of a feasibility study for a London LGBT Social Action Centre in its Soho Action Plan. Out of 65 recommendations concerning the improvement and regeneration of the area this was the highest voted for recommendation by the general public, not only the LGBT community.
The initial phase of the feasibility study will be funded by Westminster City Council who will work in collaboration with Kairos in Soho to administer and manage the contract and engage the most appropriate team to research and develop the feasibility study.
The tender for the feasibility will be formally launched at the Kairos in Soho Friends Event.
