KiS sees such a centre as a permanent sustainable symbol of understanding and recognition of the need for the diverse LGBT community to come together in a safe space.
KiS aspires to a London LGBT Community and Social Action Centre, a local and international beacon demonstrating the values of diversity, equality and integrity. nn
At the Annual Friends Event 2006, Bharat Mehta, Clerk to the Trustees at City Parochial Foundation, expressed his support for KiS and the continuing battle to address prejudice and discrimination directed towards the LGBT community.
As a KiS funder he added support to such a notion, recommending plans be built on clear independent values and a realistic assessment of the sustainability of such a resource.

We hear the aspiration : the diverse London metropolis and friendly focus of LGBT life.
In pockets, perhaps. In general, this is not what the evidence shows.
We need to create in bricks and mortar a structure of depth and integrity, representative of the complexity of our story.
Funding is currently being sought to carry out a feasibility for such an important and powerful piece of work.
